Happy new year! We're kicking off 2024 in the most unexpected way. While many of us have resolved to go to the gym, count calories, or try intermittent fasting (I'm hungry just thinking about doing that), we at True Scoops are all about the contrary. We want to enjoy our favorite foods, like homemade ice cream (in moderation of course) but simply having fun while making it. So our New Year's resolution is as sweet as it gets – to craft a new and exciting ice cream flavor or recipe each month!
As we dive into January, we proudly present our inaugural creation – Chocolate Peanut Butter Oreo Ice Cream. It's not just a delightful treat; it's a testament to our commitment to infuse joy and innovation into the mundane. True Scoops has provided the foundation with our chocolate ice cream mix, and we've added our personal touch to kick off this exciting ice cream resolution. Name a better combination than chocolate, peanut butter, and Oreos... I'll wait... we're still waiting...
And pro tip while we're at it, don't use the gritty, natural peanut butter because it will affect the texture. You want to use the jarred stuff that's super smooth and creamy. Trust us!

Calling all chocolate, peanut butter, and oreo cookie lovers... that's all of us right? We're making a decadent homemade ice cream with these ingredients using True Scoops Chocolate Ice Cream as the base. It's rich, creamy, and the perfect partner to peanut butter and cookies.
1 True Scoops Chocolate Ice Cream Mix
1 Cup of Half & Half
2 Tbsp Creamy Peanut Butter
¼ Cup Crushed Oreo cookies
Pour the ice cream mix, half and half, and peanut butter into a bowl.
Using an electric mixer on low speed, mix for 1 minute and then on high speed for 4 minutes.
Pour the liquid mixture into the True Scoops pint container and simultaneously sprinkle in the crushed cookies.
Place the lid on the pint container and freeze for 4-6 hours or until frozen.
